Install Android SDK 64bit with Java JDK 1.7

I’ve just download the newest Android SDK 64bit from developer.android.com, but the Android SDK refuses to proceed, because it can’t find my JDK Installation. (I’m using JDK 1.7)

there are some alternatives to fix this :

type “environment variables” on your start menu (from windows 7 / windows 8) and set User Variables with :

Variables : JAVA_HOME

Value :

C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.7.0_17

Some alternatives (works in other computers, but no mine) :

C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.7.0_17/bin/

or

C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_31

And one of the funniest and most voted answer from stackoverflow is :

Press Back when you get the notification and then Next. This time it will find the JDK.

  1. Sometimes this will occurs when the application cannot find binary compiler. Some problem persist like in phonegap framework that hard to find java home, then manually setup the path using terminal or command line.
