dualboot Windows 7 Windows 8

Hello people, it’s been a long time since I wrote something here.. 😀

Yesterday, I just installed a new Operating System in my notebook, acer 4745G. And the installation is not hard, it’s very SIMPLE and COOL! I just need to prepare a new partition, a flashdisk, and download some stuffs. It only takes less than 20 minutes to install and personalize the new operating system. I use my Live account as login account and voila all of my account are automatically synchronized! I will tell you more the awesomeness of this OS in another post 🙂

What you should prepare before installation :

– bootable devices (I used Kingston Flashdisk 16GB), make sure the flashdisk is empty.

– an empty partition about 30 / 40GB (Windows 8 takes 20GB for itself), if you don’t have any empty partition you can shrink your partition and make a new one. You can use some 3rd party partition manager. (e.g. EASUS, etc.)

– driver, if you don’t have the driver CD it’s ok,  I didn’t install any drivers, besides my ATI VGA and Bluetooth, all of the components are detected!

– download some stuff,

2. Windows 7 USB-DVD Tools, this tool is for make your flashdisk bootable

If you have done, plug your flashdisk and setup your BIOS (usually you must press F2 before the computer start) to boot your flashdisk as highest priority. Rest of all is just choose option Custom Installation. It will install Windows 8 in different partition. And that’s all of steps you need to dualboot Windows 7 and Windows 8!

    1. just follow my posts step by step.
It doesn’t matter which OS you will install.
      32bit or 62bit.
The problem is depend on your specification, if you have RAM larger than 4GB, you should use OS 64 bit to make your RAM perform efficiently.
